Overview: The Garmin GTM 60 is an add-on traffic receiver and 12-volt power adapter on your compatible Garmin nüvi GPS portable navigator. The GTM 60 delivers Traffic Message Channel (TMC) information, including road conditions and traffic delays, on your compatible Garmin GPS device. When traffic information is received, your Garmin GPS portable navigator displays traffic delays at the map and uses the information to keep away from traffic delays and find the fastest routes. The Garmin GTM 60 traffic receiver provides subscription-free, advertising-free traffic alerts with Digital 3D Traffic, the world’s most extensive traffic avoidance system. It offers more coverage in more areas with more timely and accurate traffic condition updates. The GTM 60 uses Garmin’s 3D Traffic and Digital Traffic from the HD radio Broadcasting system to offer traffic alerts as much as 10x faster than traditional traffic receivers.

 Note: Lifetime traffic extends for the useful life of the Garmin traffic receiver (so long as you own the compatible Garmin GPS device) or so long as Garmin receives traffic data from its traffic supplier, whichever is shorter.

Digital 3D Traffic, when delivered over the rapid HD Radio Broadcasting System, updates traffic each and every 30 seconds (that is 4 to 10x faster than competitive services and products) allowing you to react more quickly to changing traffic conditions and keep you moving. 

 Note: When HD service isn’t to be had for your area, the GTM 60 will provide data through an RDS-TMC channel. In that event, the GTM 60 and GPS device should be in in data range of an FM station transmitting TMC data to receive traffic information.
